Handmade Silver Cuff
Distinctly Deco. Product Code DDCB6
This cuff bracelet is handmade using solid sterling silver with a heavy depth of 1.2mm. Six inches of silver is shaped and made into a cuff bracelet. The bracelet is then hammered using an unusual technique. Silversmiths usually hammer metal on metal to produce the hammered effect which is usually seen on silver. Instead, a different procedure is used which ensures that the silver is not stretched or mishapen in any other way excluding the hammering effect. This ensures the depth of the silver remains the same throughout the bracelet and produces a much finer effect. It does however take a great deal longer to carry out this different procedure - but the results are most definitely worth it! Once the hammering has been carried out, individual holes are drilled into the bracelet to create the shape of a diamond; four entirely through the silver and the remaining to an even depth which don't pentrate the silver fully.
Because the back is open, the bracelet will fit most sized wrists. Silver is a malleable metal (easy to shape). Gently prize apart by using equal strength on both edges or close together by the same method if required.
Once made, the bracelet is sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery (and returned by the same) to the London Assay Office to receive the hallmarks as pictured. These marks confirm the quality of the precious metal used to make it. The bracelet will then be posted by Royal Mail Special Delivery to you in teh quality cuff bracelt box as pictured.
This bracelet will need to be made and then sent to the London Assay Office, so please expect your order to take a couple of weeks
